The purpose of a sports massage is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissue. Above all, this treatment can help prevent those niggling injuries that get in the way of performance and achievement, whether you are an athlete, ardent keep-fitter or once a week jogger.

Sports massage is a deeper more intense treatment specifically designed to reduce muscular tension and ease deep muscular pain and discomfort.

Treatment involves various elements of a full body massage and often a combination of other techniques involving stretching, compression, friction, toning, and trigger point response techniques similar to acupressure and shiatsu. The main aim is to get our patients to a position where they are no longer experiencing discomfort or a limited range of motion in the most effective way bringing about optimum performance and providing injury-free training and minimise injuries.
